The CompM4 series of sights are the standard infantry sights in many NATO countries. These optics are exceptionally tough, capable of operating continuously for up to 8 years on a single AA battery, leaving the competition far behind. The Aimpoint CompM4s, in particular, is the latest iteration of the U.S. Army's M68 Close-Combat Optic, a legacy that Aimpoint has maintained since 1997. The only difference between the CompM4 and the CompM4s is the battery compartment placement; the CompM4 has a top-mounted compartment, whereas the CompM4s has a low battery compartment.
