Colt CR6920 223 REM/556NATO 16.1" Semi-Auto Rifle - Magpul Sights

The Colt CR6920 is the civilian version of the M4 Carbine that Colt builds for the U.S. military, and it is still the rifle many buyers measure every other AR-15 against. This configuration comes with a Magpul flip-up rear backup sight, a 16.1" barrel chambered for both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO, and a matte black finish.

If you want an AR-15 that you can set up once and trust for years, the 6920 is a safe pick. It runs common 5.56 ammunition, takes standard AR-15 magazines, and accepts almost any mil-spec part, optic or light you add later. It works as a first rifle, a home-defense carbine or a base for a duty-style build.
