The Forward Controls Design Castle Nut A5 — CN5F FDE (CN5F-FDE) is FCD's precision-machined A5/VLTOR-compatible castle nut for AR-15 receiver extensions, finished in FDE (Flat Dark Earth). The CN5F (Castle Nut, A5 Forward Controls) is engineered to FCD's tight tolerances for a proper fit with A5 and standard carbine receiver extensions. The FDE finish coordinates with coyote, tan, and FDE-finished lower receivers and stocks. Stake-compatible design ensures proper installation per mil-spec staking requirements. All FCD castle nuts are designed with the correct internal radius to ensure proper engagement with the receiver extension threads.
