Forward Controls Design - Select Fire Short Throw to Semi Safety Selector - ASF-SF-50Q
Forward Controls Design, Inc
The Forward Controls Design ASF-50Q Ambidextrous Safety Selector is a 50-degree short-throw semi-auto safety selector with FCD's distinctive offset "Q" levers — engineered from the ground up as a defense, duty, and combat-grade safety selector for AR-15 and M16-pattern rifles. The ASF (Ambidextrous Selector, Forward Controls) features levers attached to the center via a stainless steel roll pin interface rated for 800 lbs of shear strength. FCD specifies ultra-tight tolerances (+0.001/-0.00) on the lever-to-center interface, eliminating any wobble or slop between the lever and center body. The "Q" lever design shifts the lever toward the shooter's thumb on SEMI/FIRE, enabling a more natural and ergonomic return to SAFE without adjusting grip — the lever should look like a letter "q" when the selector is on SEMI/FIRE. Shipped with a selector spring, KNS nitrided selector detent, two levers, and 4 stainless roll pins.
Note: For SR-25 pattern lower receivers, the long right Q lever may contact the right side of the takedown pin area — function is not affected. Not recommended for select-fire or full-auto configurations. For semi-auto AR-15 builds only.
