The Gorilla Ammunition 8.6 Blackout 190gr Fracturing Supersonic Hunting Ammunition – Punisher Series (GA86190PS, 20 Round Box) is a premium hunting and self-defense round engineered around Gorilla’s proprietary Fracturing bullet technology. The 190gr Punisher Series projectile is CNC Swiss Turned from solid copper — a 100% lead-free, monolithic copper bullet — designed for devastating terminal performance at supersonic velocities in the 8.6 Blackout cartridge. This is a true hunting and tactical round capable of massive wound channels and deep penetration.
Upon impact, the solid copper Punisher projectile initiates tri-petal fracturing: three large petals break off and separate radially, creating multiple simultaneous wound channels for maximum energy transfer and tissue damage. The base of the projectile continues to penetrate to approximately 19” of depth, ensuring full pass-through capability and vital organ disruption. At 2,000 fps muzzle velocity from a 12” barrel, the 8.6 Blackout Punisher Series delivers reliable supersonic performance in short-barreled rifles (SBR), AR-15/AR-10 platforms, and bolt-action configurations chambered in 8.6 Blackout. Each round is loaded in factory new brass cases for reliable cycling and reloadability.
The 8.6 Blackout (also written as 8.6x43mm) was developed for use in AR-10/SR-25 pattern rifles and provides significantly larger bore diameter than the 300 Blackout, making it an excellent choice for subsonic suppressed shooting as well as supersonic hunting applications. The 190gr supersonic Punisher load is optimized for open-country hunting of medium to large game, including deer, hog, and predator hunting, as well as home defense and tactical use.
