Named after Aegis, the protective shield handed down from Zeus in Greek mythology, the Kimber Aegis series of 1911 handguns are light weight and easy to carry but still retain a high degree of functionality. Unlike many semiautomatic pistols with wide, bulky grips, the Kimber Aegis feature a slim grip and a compact design. They’ve also been given Kimber’s own Carry Melt treatment, a process that rounds sharper edges to ensure a smooth draw and reduces the risk of snagging. The Aegis also features night sights, front strap checkering and a moisture resistant two-tone finish with self-lubricating properties.
