The LMT Defense AR-15 Standard Carbine Buffer (L7A2F) is the mil-spec carbine buffer from Lewis Machine & Tool, designed for use in carbine-length buffer tubes with direct impingement and piston-operated AR-15 platforms. Featuring an aluminum body with steel weights totaling approximately 3 oz, this standard carbine buffer provides the proper cycling weight for reliable semi-auto operation in 5.56mm and .300 BLK direct impingement builds. NSN-listed and used in LMT's own mil-spec MRP-L and MARS-L rifle builds, this buffer is also compatible with most standard mil-spec carbine lower receiver extensions. A key component for anyone building or tuning an LMT or mil-spec AR-15.
