The LMT Defense Flat Top Upper Receiver (L7D1A) is a mil-spec AR-15 flat top upper receiver machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard anodized finish. Featuring a standard flat top Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail, this upper receiver is the foundation for any AR-15 build — compatible with all mil-spec components, BCG, and barrel assemblies.

Unlike LMT's MRP monolithic receivers, the L7D1A flat top upper is designed for use with standard mil-spec barrels with a standard barrel nut. Perfect for custom builds, replacement uppers, or shooters who prefer barrel nut-installed barrels over the MRP system. Made in the USA by Lewis Machine & Tool to military-grade specifications.
