The LMT Defense Front Flip-Up Sight GEN2 (L8KG2) is LMT's mil-spec front backup iron sight (BUIS) — NSN issued (NSN: 1005-01-648-5899) and compatible with all LMT rifle sight systems. This flip-up design allows the sight to lay flat against the rail when not in use, leaving room for primary optics, while springing up instantly for backup iron sight use.

The GEN2 front flip-up sight mounts directly to a standard 1913 Picatinny rail and pairs seamlessly with LMT's L8A Tactical Rear Sight or the L8BUIST flip-up battle sight set. An essential addition to any AR-15 build that uses a primary optic but requires a reliable BUIS backup system.
