The Forward Controls Design 5.56 Ambidextrous Charging Handle — Black (ACF-556) is FCD's duty-grade ambidextrous charging handle for 5.56 AR-15/M16-pattern rifles. The ACF (Ambidextrous Charging Handle, Forward Controls) is engineered specifically for use in combat and duty environments, featuring fully ambidextrous large latches on both sides for easy operation from either shoulder or with either hand. The latch geometry is optimized for reliable engagement even when gloved, and the extended latch surface provides excellent purchase during malfunction drills. Machined from billet aluminum, anodized black, and designed to function flawlessly with suppressors, night vision, and vehicle operations.
A direct drop-in replacement for the standard AR-15 charging handle. Also available in .308/7.62 version (ACF-308). Designed for duty, military, and law enforcement use.
