The Forward Controls Design Bolt Carrier Group — Dimpled (SBCG-N-D) is FCD's Secure-Staking BCG with nitride finish and dimpled texture machined into the bolt carrier body. The SBCG-N-D (Secure-Staking BCG, Nitride, Dimpled) uses FCD's proprietary secure-staking process on the gas key to ensure screws are permanently and reliably staked. The nitride finish (black nitride/Melonite) provides superior corrosion resistance and reduced friction compared to standard phosphate. The dimpled texture on the carrier body reduces the carrier's contact surface with the upper receiver, decreasing friction for improved cycling and making the BCG easier to clean. All bolt components are MPI and HPT tested to mil-spec standards.
