The standard AR-15 forward assist features a large, protruding serrated button that can snag on gear, kit, and clothing. FCD's LDFA (Low Drag Forward Assist, Forward Controls) dramatically reduces the profile of the forward assist, creating a nearly flush surface that eliminates snag points while retaining full function. The LDFA is machined from billet aluminum, hard coat anodized, and drops directly into any standard AR-15 upper receiver forward assist hole — no modifications required.
