The Forward Controls Design VLTOR A5 Compatible Receiver Extension (RE5F-Cerakote BB) is FCD's enhanced carbine receiver extension (buffer tube) compatible with the VLTOR A5 buffer and spring system for AR-15/M16 platforms. The RE5F (Receiver Extension, Forward Controls) is finished in Cerakote Burnt Bronze — a premium ceramic-based finish that provides exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. FCD machines this receiver extension to tighter tolerances than standard mil-spec for a wobble-free stock fit, and the dry-film lubricant coating on the tube aids smooth stock operation. Compatible with all mil-spec 6-position carbine stocks while accepting the VLTOR A5 buffer for improved cycling reliability.
